Indies first lunge session

well finally the weathers been kind for a change ! i decided todays the day she is going to start being worked, im so sick of her bouncing off the walls, so its time to start light exercise, i brought her in first today, tied her up, she had a good fidget but i told her to STAND STILL NOW, and to my surprise she didnt move a muscle, haha now thats how i like it :D. she is looking so much better, her weight is improving, and shes starting to BOUNCE and theres a spring in her step . she must be feeling great !!

took her to the sand roll pen and started to lunge her, it was fine til she decides to trot and all of a sudden its like BAM she jumps off the ground, throws her head around and generally jumps round like a ballerina, of course she got in big trouble, and had a few choice words for her.. which i wont say here but you can imagine what came out of my mouth ! told her very firmly to cut it out and get up, which she did, but of course shes all excited now, got her trotting round for a whle longer, then its time to change sides, of course she does the same thing on the other side,

cant say im too impressed !! after id lungd her she went back to miss lazy, tied her up and groomed her and she went back to normal, typical though !!

hopefully this week she will start to behave herself or else shes gonna have to deal with the consequences of her actions .......................

Indies progress

well i thought i should update it since the last time, since shes had her mane done , she has been put on green grass, with hay and hardfeed, which she adores of course ! she seems happier on her own but as soon as shes fat she will move back in with ponti hehe .

Took her out yesterday (tuesday) to give her a groom, was leading her down the raceway and the annoying pony must have frightened her as she started to rear and back up very quickly, i wasnt expecting it and i nearly crapped myself, but i managed to get her down and gave her a good growling and a smack to let her know i dont allow that, then i gave her some time to settle down and then brought her up, she fidgeted for a bit but i just waited til she was ready for me to move into her space, took her rugs off and gave her a good groom, she was all cuddly and sweet so im guessing it was "one out of the box" well heres hoping ! didnt have any more issues after that and returned her to her paddock happy as lary !

today (wed) it is raining and pretty miserable so only fed her today and ggave her a cuddle, have noticed shes more interested in eating grass then hay but still gave her more hay in case she decides she wants some. hopefully she will eat hay as its a waste not to .

hopefully tomorrow weather is better so i can bring her in again and spend some time doing more groundwork and give her a good groom again

Indie gets a makeover

Today Indie got a well deserved makeover , it was her first time in her new home and she has settled in well, nothing seems to faze her, not even the annoying pony who comes running up and tries to sniff her behind :P hehe. shes been eating loads of hay and feed, not to mention grass, yummy green grass !

I had a friend Hannah come over and pull her mane, since im so useless at it and dont want to get it wrong hehe, Hannah did a good job of her mane, and then we washed her mane and dried her off and put her rug back on, she must feel special :D

Before Pics (check out that MANE !!!)

AFTER- Doesnt she look 100% better ?

Indie has ARRIVED

Name- Indie

Age- rising 6

Height-15.2hh approx

History- was trialled to race, didnt make the grade, then was put on the meatworks truck, but a nice girl took her on instead, she had a foal and then was sold to the lady where i got her from, she has apparently done pc, and hacked out on a huge farm, and also been used for lessons by the mothers daughter where i got her :)

Plans For Indie- Fatten her up, get some topline on her and take her out to some shows and find out what she does best in, im sure she will make a excellent allrounder, nothing seems to be bothering her, she takes it all in her stride
